Episode 8: The Dream She Hid in Her Drawer
“She had a dream no one knew about—until she decided to live it out loud.”
Divya had always loved writing. Poems, letters, short stories—she filled notebooks with her imagination. But life moved fast: college, marriage, a corporate job, responsibilities. Her dream of becoming a writer stayed hidden in a drawer… literally.
One day, while cleaning, her daughter found an old notebook and asked, “Mumma, did you write this? Why don’t you write more?”
That one question cracked something open.
The Dream Rewritten
Divya didn’t resign.
She didn’t book a writing retreat.
She simply began showing up—30 minutes a day, every night, to write.
She started a blog.
Then an Instagram page for her poetry.
Soon, one of her poems got published in an online magazine. Messages started pouring in from women saying, “This feels like my story.”
Sometimes All It Takes is Permission—from Yourself
Her dream hadn’t died.
It was simply waiting for her to return.
“Even forgotten dreams bloom again when watered with courage.”
Divya’s Note to Every Silent Dreamer:
- Don’t underestimate the dreams you tucked away.
- It’s never too late to begin again.
- You don’t have to shout your dream—just stop hiding it.
