Episode 4: The Rejection That Redirected Her

"She thought it was a failure. Life knew it was a redirection.”

Tara had her heart set on one job. She had studied the company, practiced for the interview, prayed every night, and even imagined herself at the desk. It felt perfect—stable pay, decent location, good growth. The day she received the rejection email, it felt like the end of her future.

She cried. Then stayed silent for a week. She didn’t touch her resume again.

But something deeper was working within her.

When One Door Shuts, Windows Start Whispering

After a few days, Tara got a message from a friend:

“Can you help my cousin start a business page on Instagram? You’re so good at explaining things.”

She hesitated.

Then helped.

And the cousin’s page grew. Fast.

One project became three. Then five. Before she knew it, Tara was building a quiet business—social media setup and strategy for local brands. Something she never imagined as a “career” suddenly became a source of income—and pride.

That Job Wasn’t Her Path. This One Was.

Had she gotten that job, Tara might never have explored her creativity. She might’ve stayed in a cubicle, wondering “what if.”

The rejection didn’t ruin her.

It released her.

“Sometimes life says ‘no’ not to break you, but to push you where you truly belong.”

Tara’s Truth for All of Us:

  1. Not getting what you want doesn’t mean you don’t deserve success—it means success is waiting somewhere else.
  2. Rejections hurt, but they often protect you from paths not meant for your greatness.
  3. Trust the redirection.
